Anne: Reaction Paper on Basketball Diaries Movie Essay

On this story, upon reading the title, I thought it exit focus on basketball game and competitions but I engage in mind I am ravish because it was genuinely about a newborn man who had bad experiences and struggled to survive. Early in the film, it shows a good knowledge of Jim and his friends and where they studied in a Catholic School and a apprentice through playing basketball to get goingher. It also shows how intelligent Jim is on paternity which is great. Unfortunately, young Jim fell into the cruel world of life on the pathway and heavy drug abuse, smoking, and even stealing others things and money which many students and early days do the same thing in present as we contrive on televisions and in our society that many young people use their selves to drugs. I have also witness on how they talk was really disrespectful and awful to hear for a reason that they be exploitation some bad or negative words like pose piece of tailer, fuck you etc.Furthermore, the mov ie also shows some immoral or amiss(p) doings like the coach who is a gay that like to have sex with his student and also Jim who uses his body to be able to get money to buy drugs. The young characters in the film do overlook moral compasses resulting from their poor decision-making. He even leave home because they are already addicted to drugs and doesnt hear his mothers send away which is not good to a young students like us. On this film, I have remember the verse in the bible that, you should honour your mother and father and you will have a long life because of the wrong behaviour of Jim towards his mother that he doesnt listen to.On the decision part of the story, it shows the effect of the drugs like hallucinating and even out of maneuver of their selves. But because of Reggie and his mother, Jim was saved. Overall, it was a mature movie and every young individuals should meet it because it shows how bad drugs, smoking that all of us should not try or let go. Lastly, I think the filmmaker wants us to recognize that this is not all Jims fault but it focuses on the various effects of the drugs because in the first place it was really fine, his life and even his career.
